Ambler, PA - More than a dozen MBA members, staff, and family donated their time on Monday, January 15, 2018 to give back on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service. Two groups of volunteers spent their day at Interfaith Housing Alliance (www.i-fha.org) and Wissahickon Valley Boys & Girls Club (http://www.npvclub.org/).
Interfaith Housing Alliance provides emergency and transitional shelter to families with children, as well as emergency food relief and intensive case management and support services. MBA members helped to remodel the day center, cleaned and painted common areas, organized the donation storage area, and sealed windows.
The Wissahickon Valley Boys & Girls Club offers recreational, afterschool, and summer activities to young people, particularly those in need. MBA volunteers assembled furniture, organized games and supplies, and prepared crafts and snacks.
Thank you to all who devoted their day to the service of others!
