CLE: Eviction Prevention and Intervention Coalition ("EPIC") Volunteer Training - Nov. 30
Court House

The Eviction Prevention and Intervention Coalition ("EPIC") is a brand new collaboration between the MBA, MBF, the Montgomery County Housing and Community Development Office, and the courts. The 6 month pilot program is designed to provide free, limited representation to tenants facing eviction in Magisterial District Court 38-1-16 (Hon. Margaret Hunsicker, Norristown). EPIC will utilize the services of pro bono attorneys to provide same day, limited representation to tenants facing eviction in order to stabilize vulnerable households in the Norristown community who have historically limited access to legal representation.

The MBA will provide pro bono attorneys to participate in the program on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. This is a wonderful opportunity for members looking for convenient, and MEANINGFUL volunteer opportunities. No prior landlord/tenant experience necessary. Legal Aid attorneys will be conducting a free CLE training on November 30 at the MBA Building for those interested in volunteering. Click on the button below to register. 1.0 hour substantive credit available to those who qualify. Lunch included.
