MBA Section Challenge - Now Through June 20th
MBA Section Challenge

For the past four years, we challenged all four MBA Sections and the Montgomery County Paralegal Association to sell as many raffle tickets as possible. So far, the Young Lawyers Section has swept the challenge, winning all four years. In that time, nearly $15,000 has been raised in ticket sales alone - all of it going to Legal Aid of Southeastern PA!

CLICK HERE to purchase tickets online.

If you are selling tickets for your section, please mark your stub with your section's name or abbreviation. Questions? Give us a call at 610-267-9660.

Open Call for CLE Presenters
Call for CLE Presenters

The MBA is looking for speakers and presenters to conduct CLE seminars in the coming months. This is a great opportunity to get in front of members and share your knowledge and expertise in a particular legal field. Putting a seminar together is easier than you think. Simply give us a call and we'll assist you in developing a program, submitting a seminar key, and scheduling your course.

Have you presented recently to a school, community group, or other CLE provider on legal matters? Why not share your presentation with our local legal community by converting it into a CLE course here at the MBA?

For more information, or to set up a CLE course, please contact MBA Legal Education & Events Coordinator Jacqueline Prestoy by phone at 610-279-9660, ext. 200 or by email at

MBA Member Quick Tips - Scam Alert!
Quick Tips

One of our members has notified us of a potentially dangerous and widespread scam. A potential client visited his office for representation on a wrongful termination case. The client provided supporting documents validating the employer (Tractor Supply Company - Harleysville, PA) and situation, all of which appeared completely legitimate. The attorney agreed to represent him and the client provided the attorney with a cashier's check for a significant amount ($100K+). A few days later, the attorney received a call from the client claiming to be out of the country (Mexico) and asking the attorney to wire him those funds immediately so he can purchase new equipment for a new company start-up. Luckily, the attorney did not provide that money as the cashier's check still hadn't cleared (and eventually bounced).

This case was reported to the authorities so if you have experienced this same scam, or would like to view related documents, please contact Nancy Paul at 610-279-9660, ext. 202.
