The Annual Membership Dinner will be returning this year as a stand-alone event on Friday, October 18, 2019 at the Philadelphia Country Club in Gladwyne. All members are invited to join us as we gather for an evening of collegiality and honor our 50-Year Members of the Bar. Invitations will be sent shortly so stay tuned for more information!

Swearing In Ceremonies

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the Honorable William Whitten Vogel. Judge Vogel died on August 30, 2019 at the age of 92.

His distinguished career began in 1953-1966 practicing law with Wisler, Pearlstine, Talone and Gerber in Norristown. From 1958-1964 he served as Lower Merion Township Commissioner; from 1964-1966 as Montgomery County Commissioner; and in 1966 he was appointed to serve as Judge in Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas (by then- Governor William Scranton), where he served until 2006. From 1986-1991 he was elected by fellow judges to serve as President Judge of Montgomery County, and from 1994-2006 he served as Senior Judge of Montgomery County.

His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 21st at 12:00 noon at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, 625 Montgomery Ave., Bryn Mawr, PA 19010. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, Narberth Ambulance, or Squam Lakes Science Center.

Trial Lawyers Section "Trial Advocacy CLE Series" Continues Next Wednesday

Closing Arguments & Themes -- In the fourth of five trial advocacy CLE programs presented by the MBA Trial Lawyers Section, learn from two greats, Marc Robert Steinberg, Esq. (Rubin, Glickman, Steinberg and Gifford) and Hon. Joseph P. Walsh (Walsh Pancio, LLC) how to craft closing arguments and themes that will sway jurors and lead to favorable verdicts. This lunch and learn program is scheduled for 12:00 PM at the MBA Building. Includes 1.0 Hour Substantive CLE Credit

The five-part series has been designed to take you through all stages of the trial process, from pretrial preparation to closing arguments and all stages in between.  The series will conclude with a blockbuster mock trial event in November that you won’t want to miss.  In addition to requisite CLE credits, attendees of all five programs will be recognized with a formal Certificate of Completion.
