REPLAY - Rule 200: You Have Been Ordered to a Case Management Conference, Now What?

Wednesday, April 24, 2019
11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Location: MBA Board Room

Credits: 1.0 Hour Substantive

Topic: You have been or are about to be ordered to appear at a Case Management Conference for the case you filed in 2016. Know what to expect and what your options are. Local Rule 200 requires that all new cases filed on or after January 1, 2016 would be presumptively trial ready within eighteen months. That time is now for many cases. If you have not filed a trial ready certificate, the Court will be ordering you to attend a Case Management Conference before a Civil Court Master. This CLE features: Deputy Court Administrator Denise Vicario, Esq. to provide an overview of how you will arrive at a Case Management Conference; Civil Case Masters John Savoth, Esq. and Phil Gazan, Esq. to discuss the Case Management Conference and the Court's expectations; and Bruce Pancio, Esq. from the MBA's Center for Mediation and Arbitration to discuss your options for proceeding to mediation or arbitration on your case, which is about to be listed as trial ready.
