Over 135 volunteer lawyers serve as the voice for abused children and advocate for their interests in the legal and social service arenas. The goal of MCAP is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for abused children, so they can learn to trust and begin to heal from the horrific abuses. Since 2004, MCAP has helped more than 6,600 girls and boys in over 4,600 cases. MCAP is able to provide its specialized legal services to child victims due to the generosity of Montgomery County, the Montgomery Bar Association, Montgomery County Foundation, the District Attorney's Office, and the countless other private donors.
